About the Role We're a locally-owned pack-and-ship store seeking a responsible, accountable team member to help with customer service and package handling. This part-time role focuses on in-store operations, with optional mobile document shredding services available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities
In-Store:
- Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and in-person
- Operate shipping and POS systems (FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL, freight)
- Safely and professionally pack items using boxes, bubble wrap, foam, and more
- Handle high-volume package processing during busy periods
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages
- Maintain a clean, well-organized storefront
- Proactively monitor and respond to customer emails
- Promote and explain available services and products
- Take ownership of tasks from start to finish without constant supervision
Mobile Services (Optional/Preferred):
- Drive a company Sprinter van to perform shredding service pickups for select customers
- Handle sensitive documents securely and responsibly
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs
- Represent our brand with professionalism offsite
Physical Operations:
- Safely lift and move packages up to 50 lbs using proper techniques
- Frequently handle packages weighing 10-35 lbs throughout shift
- Stand and walk for 5+ hours with standard breaks
- Bend, reach, and work at various heights safely
- Operate wheeled dollies
Skills & Requirements
- Customer service or retail experience required
- Proven track record of accountability and taking initiative
- Comfortable with multi-channel customer service (phone, email, in-person)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move packages safely (proper form assessed during interview)
- Detail-oriented, punctual, and dependable
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn shipping platforms
- Experience in packing/shipping is a plus but not required—training provided
- Additional earning opportunities available if you are a Certified Notary Public
For Mobile Services:
- Clean driving record required (DMV check conducted)
- Comfortable driving a large van (Sprinter-sized)
Preferred Background
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in shipping/retail/logistics helpful
- Interest in learning business operations and management skills
- Positive references required
