RN Cardiac Cath Lab
Shift: Days, 4x10 (40 hrs. /week)
Contract: 13 weeks of a contract with the possibility of extension
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Catheterization Lab team. This role is integral to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on cardiac catheterization procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient assessment skills, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients undergoing catheterization and related procedures.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care in the Catheterization Lab, including pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure monitoring.
- Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping.
- Perform catheter care, including insertion, maintenance, and removal, while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Conduct patient education on procedures, medications, and post-care instructions.
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions during procedures.
- Assist in the training of new staff members and provide mentorship as needed.
Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as RN Cath Lab
- Must have BLS and ACLS Certification
- Must have RI or Compact state RN License
- Must be fully vaccinated with booster
- Must have flu shot
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $82.00 - $88.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
