Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Unit Manager to lead our nursing team in a rehabilitation (rehab) and long-term care (LTC) facility. The RN Unit Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Duties
- Supervise nursing staff and manage unit workflow in a rehab and LTC setting
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Oversee the administration of medications, IV insertions, and wound care procedures
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping using systems such as eClinicalWorks and Athenahealth
- Provide support in managing patients with complex needs, including memory care
- Train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to promote clinical excellence
- Monitor compliance with infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Prior experience in a supervisory or unit manager role, preferably in LTC or rehab settings
- Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, patient assessment, catheterization, and injections
- Proficiency in electronic health records systems such as eClinicalWorks and Athenahealth
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations, rehab protocols, and geriatric nursing best practices
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $57.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
