Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The Nursing Supervisor will play a critical role in managing nursing operations, providing leadership, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires a strong clinical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative environment among healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Oversee case management processes, ensuring effective communication among interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor vital signs and provide necessary interventions in critical care situations.
- Administer catheter care, IV infusion, venipuncture, and IV insertion as required.
- Provide health coaching to patients and their families to promote wellness and recovery.
- Ensure adherence to long-term care standards and best practices within the facility.
- Train and mentor nursing staff on clinical procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care quality.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license with relevant certifications in nursing supervision or management.
- Proven experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of case management principles and critical care protocols.
- Proficiency in performing vital signs assessments, catheter care, IV infusion, venipuncture, and IV insertion.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively lead a team of healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in patient documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
