JOB OVERVIEW
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of hotel premises. Provides support to both the Housekeeping and Front Office departments by fulfilling guest requests, delivering supplies, and transporting linens.
REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Restocks linen closets and guestroom supplies for Room Attendants; assists supervisors with heavy deliveries from vendors.
- Responds promptly and efficiently to guest requests for housekeeping items, offering courteous and friendly service.
- Moves and arranges furniture as needed and prepares sample rooms for Sales team tours.
- Collects soiled linens and transports them to the laundry room.
- Participates in housekeeping initiatives such as mattress rotations, duvet upkeep, deep cleaning projects, and quarterly room inspections.
- Cleans guest rooms and public areas including hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairwells, and locker rooms. Tasks may include sweeping, waxing, and floor polishing.
- Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills. Immediately reports any emergencies, injuries, missing items, damages, mechanical issues, or safety hazards.
- Empties trash bins and ashtrays, removes debris from driveways and parking areas, and transports waste to designated disposal locations.
- Delivers items such as TVs, ironing boards, cribs, and rollaway beds to guestrooms upon request.
- Addresses guest concerns and service requests efficiently and professionally to ensure a positive experience and guest satisfaction.
- Performs duties of Lobby Attendant, Turndown Attendant, or Laundry Attendant as assigned.
- Follows all safety procedures, wears required protective gear, and complies with OSHA and hotel safety guidelines.
- Immediately turns in any guest belongings found after checkout to housekeeping management for documentation in Lost and Found.
- Maintains regular attendance, arrives in uniform with a name tag, and remains informed about hotel amenities and services to assist guests as needed.
