Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across our construction sites. This role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing safety protocols and compliance measures to minimize risks and promote occupational health. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with management and staff to foster a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide training and resources to employees on safety practices, workers' compensation, and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety management into construction planning and execution.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions for compliance management purposes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations (including NEC), and best practices in risk management and occupational health.
- Act as a liaison between management, employees, and regulatory agencies regarding safety concerns.
- Promote a culture of safety through effective communication, engagement, and support for all staff members.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations related to construction management.
- Proficiency in construction management software to track compliance and manage safety documentation.
- Expertise in risk management strategies specific to construction sites.
- Familiarity with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards and practices.
- Understanding of occupational health principles as they relate to the construction industry.
- Ability to build effective relationships with diverse teams while promoting safety initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective training delivery and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing actionable solutions.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
