**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to lead our company's safety efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, while also adhering to industry regulations and standards. The Safety Manager will oversee the development and implementation of safety policies, programs, and procedures, and will work closely with management and employees to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
**Duties:**
- Develop and maintain comprehensive safety policies and programs that meet or exceed OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement effective training programs that promote safety and health awareness.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify the source of accidents or incidents, and develop corrective actions to prevent them from happening again.
- Manage and maintain workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations.
- Provide first aid and medical assistance to employees as needed.
- Develop and maintain safety manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct report writing to document incidents and accidents, and to track safety metrics.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root cause and develop corrective actions.
- Develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
- Fabricate and maintain safety equipment and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
-Develop and create a drug and alcohol policy and procedures.
-Must travel to all of our yard/pit site. (IE: Brownsville, Orange, Abilene, but not limited to).
**Qualifications:**
- 5+Years experience in Occupational Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EPA guidelines.
- Experience with workers' compensation claims and report writing.
- Excellent training development and implementation skills.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with first aid and medical assistance.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
