This safety & regulatory affairs position would be an integral part of the development of the safety aspects for the new site.
Position Summary
As a Safety and Regulatory Affairs Lead at Valliscor, you will play a vital role in the environmental health and safety (EHS) for our employees. The Regulatory Affairs Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while guiding our innovative projects through the regulatory landscape. The successful candidate must work well as part of a dynamic, fast paced & diverse team including interacting with all other employees, customers and other business contacts in a professional and respectful manner.
Select Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage process safety regulations in compliance with Oregon OSHA’s process safety management (PSM) requirements.
- Liaison with regulatory agencies such as EPA on TSCA, Stratospheric protection division, PFAS and other relevant environmental regulations.
- Previous experience preparing environment reports such as CDR, TRI, EPCRA Tier II, e-GGRT reporting and OSHA 300 log.
- Managing storage and handling of high hazard chemical inventory according to NFPA, local fire marshal and OSHA guidelines.
- Knowledge of RCRA regulations to properly manage hazardous waste for a large quantity generator including working with Oregon DEQ to satisfy reporting requirements.
- Lead the Oregon OSHA SHARP program and other OSHA mandated programs such as chemical hygiene, haz comm, respiratory protection, etc.,
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
- Conducting through hazard identification and implementing mitigation measures for existing and new processes
- Lead safety committee
- Conduct routine inspections
- Coordinateincident, near-miss investigation and implementing corrective actions
- Develop and delive essential safety trainings,
- Calibrating gas monitoring equipment
- Coordinate with facilities for maintenance of engineering controls and emergency response equipments
- Developi emergency response plans such as emergency action plan, spill response and fire protection plan
- Authoring SDS sheets for Valliscor products
- Communicate safety related information on a company wide scale.
- Key Requirements
- BS Degree in Science (Chemistry strongly preferred)
- Prior experience in safety & regulatory affairs

As this position requires the need for wearing a respirator, the employee must be willing to maintain shaving protocols to ensure air-tight seal for respirator fitting.
