Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Salad and Dessert Person to join our culinary team. This role is essential in providing our customers with fresh, high-quality salads and desserts while ensuring an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong food handling skills, a passion for food service, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This position is 10am to 8pm. Off Monday and Thursday. Salary position $800 per week for 50 hours and 1 week of paid vacation.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of salads and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salad and dessert preparation areas.
- Assist in managing inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Operate the Aloha POS system for order processing and customer transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Buss tables as needed to maintain a clean dining environment for guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service is preferred.
- Strong food handling skills with knowledge of safety regulations.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Basic understanding of retail math for cash register operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for culinary arts and willingness to help others in a team-oriented setting.
