Job description

Join us as a Sales Application Engineer and play a key role in shaping Titan CAS opportunities across your assigned region. You’ll translate mine requirements and machine data into practical, compliant solutions—developing the technical architecture, machine-level BOM, assumptions, interfaces and proposal baseline needed to confidently take opportunities from concept through to safe and successful delivery.

Your Mission:

  • Conduct structured technical discovery and review mine operating environment, interaction requirements and maturity.
  • Lead / support site audits and machine audits; obtain machine, electrical, physical-installation and OEM-interface information.
  • Classify HV / LV / ancillary fleets, VTV / VTP / VTX interaction and Level 7 / 8 / 9 intent.
  • Confirm RF region, connectivity architecture, Command Suite / server implications and reporting requirements.
  • Define hardware architecture, sensor / zone logic and machine-level BOM including cable lengths, brackets and installation-kit assumptions.
  • Define pedestrian-tag, charging-rack, power, cooling and related complementary scope where applicable.
  • Screen Level 9 / ISO 21815 / OEM requirements and escalate non-standard interfaces to Product Company / R&D.
  • Define test scenarios, KPI inputs, support assumptions and technical proposal content.
  • Validate technical scope before quotation release and freeze the technical baseline after PO.
  • Support Preparation by ensuring Operations receives audits, BOMs, assumptions, technical dependencies and open actions

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Mechanical, Mining, Industrial or Control and Instrumentation Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
  • Registration with a recognised engineering body and formal training in functional safety, ISO 21815, EMESRT or mining mobile-equipment systems will be advantageous.
  • Five or more years' experience in technical sales, applications engineering, systems engineering or solution design within mining, mobile equipment, industrial automation, telematics or safety systems.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting mine and machine audits, interpreting electrical drawings and OEM documentation, developing machine-level BOMs and defining installation and interface assumptions.
  • Experience developing technical proposals, compliance responses, test scenarios, risk registers and technical handover packs for complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Practical exposure to vehicle networks, sensors, GNSS, RF systems, CAN bus, digital and analogue I/O, networking and server-connected applications is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret CAD drawings, wiring diagrams, network architecture and installation layouts; experience with AutoCAD, Visio or draw.io is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Command Suite, device configuration tools, firmware management, diagnostic logs and structured requirements/test-management practices is preferred.
