Sales & Events Manager
Traditions at the Links – East Syracuse, NY
Traditions at the Links is a premier wedding, golf, and events venue known for exceptional service, beautiful spaces, and memorable celebrations. We are seeking a Sales & Events Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for creating unforgettable experiences. This role combines sales, event planning, and hands-on coordination to ensure successful events from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Manage client inquiries, conduct venue tours, and guide clients through the booking process
- Work directly with couples, families, and organizations to plan weddings, golf outings, and private/corporate events
- Assist clients with menus, floor plans, décor ideas, and event details
- Help with event setup, decorations, and on-site coordination to ensure flawless execution
- Communicate closely with the floor manager and kitchen team to execute events seamlessly
- Use basic Microsoft Word for contracts, proposals, and client communications
- Operate a light POS system for event charges and client payments
Schedule
- Mostly Tuesday through Saturday
- Occasional Sunday weddings, larger banquets, or tours as needed
- Evening and weekend availability required for weddings and special events
Qualifications
- Prior experience in event planning, catering, hospitality, or customer service preferred
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and comfort with POS systems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage event details effectively
- Excellent communication skills, especially when coordinating with the floor manager, kitchen, and clients
- Creative eye for décor and event flow
