POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Sales Manager is responsible for all sales activity at the branch including new projects, new agreements and quoted service. These sales will be both with current and new customers. New customer acquisition and building the agreement base are key strategies for every branch.
- The Sales Manager works with each salesperson to ensure full sales pipelines and target prospect lists and to regularly convert prospects to customers.
- The Sales Manager is responsible for recruiting new salespeople, retaining current salespeople and training the sales team to achieve their individual sales goals.
- The Sales Manager may have individual sales responsibility depending on the needs of the branch.
- The ideal candidate is a skilled and accomplished prospector and salesperson who will drive a strong culture of profitable growth through effective sales activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of successful prospecting and sales performance preferably selling a service within the construction industry. Prior sales leadership responsibility a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or similar field is a plus.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in a drug free workplace.
- Current driver’s license.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES FOR THIS POSITION:
The duties of this position cannot be summed up within a few bullet points. However, listed below are functions that are essential for success in this role.
- Leads all sales activities at the branch including prospecting, agreement sales, project sales and quoted service to achieve the annual goals of the branch.
- Develops annual sales goals for all revenue streams, all salespeople and the branch in alignment with the annual budget for the branch.
- Trains all branch salespeople on sales strategies and tactics including prospecting, qualifying and closing. Works with NHG sales resources as well as Service Logic EDGE programs to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of sales team.
- Uses Salesforce.com in accordance with Service Logic standards to manage leads and manage each team member’s sales funnels.
- Performs regular pipeline reviews and new prospect reviews to help salespeople achieve their individual goals.
- Oversees all estimating and quoting activity in coordination with the local operations team. All sales proposals will be estimated and quoted to achieve the branch’s targeted margins.
- Drives and reinforces a positive employee culture that results in long-tenured successful sales employees.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
