Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing appointment schedules, ensuring efficient operations within our clinic, and maintaining compliance with health information management standards. Duties
- Coordinate and manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal scheduling for both patients and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure that all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize computerized systems to track patient information, appointment schedules, and billing processes.
- Assist in medical billing and coding tasks as needed, ensuring accuracy in claims submissions.
- File and organize patient records systematically to facilitate easy access and retrieval of information.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize workflow and enhance patient care services.
- Address patient inquiries regarding scheduling, services offered, and clinic policies effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing, coding, and health information management is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using computerized systems for scheduling and record management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and record handling is essential.
