Office Location: This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE.
Pay Grade 9: $33.532/hour
This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate.

Essential Functions
- Researches state aid and school finance information from paper-based sources, the internet, and other online databases.
- Collaborates with Nebraska Department of Education staff to analyze and verify state aid and school finance data for research and calculations.
- Develops financial models, and conducts benchmarking and process analysis.
- Collects information related to past and comparative school finance economic data to develop economic forecasts and trends.
- Tracks and determines financial trends by analyzing results compared to forecasts.
- Ensures project deadlines are met, and develops and presents briefs to guide long-term policy decision-making.
- Collaborates with other Nebraska Department of Education staff to write state aid and school finance economic research specifications, requirements, and objectives.
- Maintains regular & reliable attendance, travels independently, and works in a variety of settings.
Working Conditions and Travel:
This position requires approximately 100% of work time spent in an office environment; there may be time spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as conferences or off-site meetings. There is approximately five days of overnight travel per year.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., finance, accounting) and at least four years of experience financial analysis or working within financial research.
