Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychology, experience working with children, and a valid Kentucky certification for the position. This role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
Shift Type: Full-Time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from a four-year accredited college or university.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in the field of psychology, including direct experience with children.
- Possession of a valid Kentucky certificate appropriate for the assigned position.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, peers, and adults in an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and faculty.
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological assessments and interpret results for use in educational planning.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments.
- Develop and implement behavior management and intervention strategies.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Support students in developing coping strategies and improving social skills.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based within the school/district.
- Requires direct interaction with students and staff.
- Must be able to travel between school sites if needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
