The Seasonal Resort Marketing Specialist for the Tahoe Region plays a critical role in bringing the brand strategy to life and delivering exceptional guest experiences through the execution of resort events, activations, and marketing initiatives. This highly collaborative, guest-facing position is responsible for coordinating event logistics, supporting on-resort activations, maintaining resort information across digital channels, and creating promotional materials that support resort programs and events.
The Seasonal Resort Marketing Specialist will be on the Resort Marketing Team, reporting to the Field Marketing Manager at Northstar; working cross-functionally as one of the on-the-ground marketing representatives at the resort.
The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They are equally comfortable interacting with guests, coordinating with operational teams, updating digital content, and creating marketing assets that bring the resort experience to life.
This candidate should have a strong background as a Brand Generalist or Event Coordinator, with an ability to work cross functionally across numerous stakeholders and departments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. This person will assist in delivering results safely and on-time in a fast-paced environment and with an understanding of others’ needs. Flexibility and a positive attitude are crucial.
This position is based in-resort at Northstar California but will support Heavenly as well. Some travel between resorts may be required. Remote work will not be possible for this position. Weekend and Holiday work is essential, due to the nature of the events and activations.

Responsibilities
Event & Guest Experience Support
Support the successful delivery of resort events, activations, and guest experience initiatives through hands-on coordination and execution.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate with key stakeholders including resort operational teams, centralized marketing partners, community organizations, vendors, and event partners.
- Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of resort events and activations, including tents, tables, signage, registration areas, and event materials.
- Manage event registration and guest check-in processes, ensuring a positive and welcoming guest experience.
- Serve as an on-site representative during events, providing excellent customer service and addressing guest questions or concerns.
- Support day-of event logistics, vendor coordination, and operational communication to ensure smooth execution.
- Assist with on-mountain and village activations during peak periods to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain event supplies, promotional materials and giveaway items, and branded assets as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise and adapt quickly to changing operational needs and weather conditions.
Website & Digital Content Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on the resort’s website to ensure guests have timely access to operational and event information.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage updates to the resort website, including event calendars, operational information, and hours of operation for mountain and village partners.
- Ensure resort information is current and accurate.
- Publish event listings across regional and community event calendars throughout the North Lake Tahoe region.
- Upload and maintain event photography and marketing assets within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
Design & Promotional Support
Create polished, on-brand marketing materials to support the promotion of resort events, programs, and guest communications.
Responsibilities include:
- Design promotional materials including event flyers, posters, on-resort signage, wayfinding materials, and informational graphics.
- Ensure all materials align with established brand standards and visual guidelines.
- Assist with production and distribution of printed marketing materials throughout the resort.
- Support additional creative and marketing projects as assigned.
Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, Event Management, or related field; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will also be considered
- Strong customer service skills and a guest-first mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skiing proficiency: Proficient skiing or riding skills to access parts of the mountain are required
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across multiple departments
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and special event dates as needed
- Ability to perform physical event setup and breakdown activities, including moving event materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions
Preferred
- Experience coordinating events of varying sizes and complexity levels
- Experience with website content management systems (CMS)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tool

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $25.16/hr - $31.45/hr. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
