Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Cashier to join our team during the Iowa State Fair to sell our famous HoQ Breakfast Wraps.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a knack for sales. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience while efficiently handling transactions.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Accurately process customer transactions using the cash register, handling cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively communicate with customers.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities and promote additional products.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cash handling is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader range of customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques.
