The Edgeworth Club has openings in the following culinary stations: Roundsman Culinary Team Member
We are directly located on the bus line, a mere 15 minutes away from various major areas.
We have been making memories for our members since 1893, with numerous staff staying with the club for decades. The reason that happens is the members of the club treat us like family, not a number at the bottom of a spreadsheet.
We are looking for full time/part-time Roundsman cook to join our kitchen staff where they will assist various stations throughout the club. Cook responsibilities include preparing various hors d’oeuvres, salads, desserts, sandwiches, grill and sauté items, fry items, general prep work. To be successful in this role, you should be able to handle the kitchen’s fast-paced working environment, be familiar with food hygiene and be available to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Make hot food items from the grill, ovens, and fryers, and saute station
- Be able to cook, steaks, burgers, chicken, seafood, pork on a grill to required temperatures.
- Work and maintain a grill station outside on our lower patio
- Prep and maintain the indoor and outdoor weekend dining buffets
- Fill in on Saute line position as needed
- Work with a team in a fast-paced and fun environment
- Perform meal-prep activities before guests arrive
- Store ingredients to keep them fresh and reduce food wastage
- Check food plating, temperature and portions for all dishes
- Sterilize kitchen equipment at the end of your shift
- Assist with plating for ala carte dining as well as banquets and large events
- Recommend modern recipes to renew our menu and add nutritious, creative dishes
- Maintain a clean station at all times
Skills
- Work experience as a Grill/ Saute Cook, Prep Cook or similar role
- Hands-on experience with professional kitchen equipment
- Good knowledge of food plating techniques
- Understanding of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit
- Availability to work all shifts, including evenings and weekends
- A degree from a culinary school is a plus but not at all necessary
