Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Guard will monitor premises through CCTV and surveillance systems, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with security procedures.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate CCTV and surveillance equipment to maintain constant oversight of the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and facilities to ensure safety and security.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Provide first aid or CPR assistance when required during emergencies.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary for incident reporting or investigations.
- Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for management review.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or safety hazards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in law enforcement or security roles is highly desirable.
- Certification in conflict management is a plus.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques is essential.
- First aid and CPR certification are preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage conflicts.
- A militarized background may be beneficial but is not required.
