Position Summary:
The Security Guard Floater is a flexible, on-call position designed to support various sites as needed. Floaters are placed on standby for specific days and times and are deployed at the direction of the Director or President of Security. This role requires high adaptability, travel capability, and a strong commitment to fulfilling company standards across multiple locations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Standby Availability:
Remain available on designated standby days and hours as directed by Security Administration. Assignments may be issued with short notice.
Flexible Assignments:
Respond to coverage needs across multiple client sites within a minimum one-hour travel radius. No permanent schedule is assigned unless temporarily issued by the administrative team.
Minimum Work Requirement:
Must complete a minimum of 48 hours within each pay period to maintain active employment status.
Shift Selection:
May proactively select available shifts through Connecteam under the “Unassigned Shifts” category. Shifts must be claimed at least 48 hours in advance when possible.
Travel Time Compensation:
Approved travel between home and the assigned post is counted as regular paid time if conducted while on the time clock and under active assignment.
Professionalism and Compliance:
Adhere to all company policies, including dress code, conduct standards, and site-specific post orders. Must remain in full compliance with all protocols set by leadership.
Chain of Command:
Follow all directives from the Director or President of Security. Immediate reporting is expected for any site changes, incidents, or issues encountered while on duty.
Additional Requirements:
Reliable transportation and readiness to travel within a designated region.
Strong communication and adaptability skills.
Must maintain a valid guard card and be in good standing with the company.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.15 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
