Job Details:
This position is responsible for the physical security of the facility, including assignments to walking or stationary posts, depending upon the location. The position will require inspection and control of persons and vehicles while entering or leaving the facility, logging of truck traffic during ingress and egress, writing reports, performing preliminary investigations in addition to switchboard operations, two-way radio communication and intercom equipment. This position will be responsible for ensuring team members entering the facility present their Tyson Badge/ID, team members enter with clear back packs, back backs that are not clear will require periodic checks, proper footwear. This position is also responsible for monitoring what is being brought into and out of the facility and enforcing Tyson policy if needed. Other job duties may be assigned by supervisor.

Pay Rate: $19.55/hour
Hours: Part time 5am-5:30pm Sat-Sun
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members, allowing only authorized personnel into the facility .
- Checking all carry-in items including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc.
- Writing investigative reports: Preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents as needed
- Conduct rounds of the plant to check physical facility security
- Log truck traffic during ingress and egress to the facility and inspection of all motor vehicles driven into the plant.
Requirements:
Applicants must reside within the current recruitment area to include the following counties:
- Cumberland County, ME
- York County, ME
- Androscoggin County, ME
Education: High School diploma or its equivalency preferred
Experience: 6 Months preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are desirable, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Special Skills: Must be able to work in both hot and cold temperatures, work both independently and under supervision, and have a positive work ethic.
Excellent communication: English or English/Bilingual skills are a necessity and applicant must possess the ability to interact respectfully with all Team Members, including Management personnel, and visitors. Must have the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion. English or English/Bilingual to effectively communicate.
