Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized professional to serve as the School Programs Lead for our student engagement initiative. This role acts as the primary liaison between the school and the program, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and implementation of interventions aimed at improving student attendance and engagement.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with school staff, families, students, and external partners to deliver case management support, facilitate timely referrals, and help reduce barriers to student success.
In addition, this position is responsible for leading Social Emotional Learning (SEL) groups in school settings, using an agency-provided curriculum focused on self-awareness, coping skills, and emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as the main point of contact between school staff and the initiative
- Conduct regular student check-ins and maintain trusting, consistent relationships
- Collaborate with families, referral partners, and school staff to ensure coordinated support
- Identify early signs of disengagement and implement timely, strengths-based interventions
- Facilitate structured SEL group sessions using agency curriculum and protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely case documentation and progress reports
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with youth and adults
- Experience working with students in school or community-based settings
- Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate engaging group activities
- Skilled in documentation, case management, and maintaining confidentiality
- Flexible, responsive, and team-oriented
- Familiarity with student support services, trauma-informed practices, or behavioral interventions a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
