Selenium Test Automation Developer

Job Summary:
The Test Automation Developer will support the operation and maintenance of enterprise-level Air Force aircraft communications, equipment maintenance, and training simulation systems. The applicant will use industry standard development and programming practices to design, modify, and develop code, primarily in Java, to support these systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and/or C#, primarily with Selenium WebDriver.
- Assist in setting up and configuring automation frameworks and test environments.
- Translate manual test cases from Zephyr Scale into automated scripts.
- Execute automated tests for web applications, APIs, and security-critical components.
- Report test results, file defects, and track issues through resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, cyber security, testers, etc. to ensure clear understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Document test procedures, test data needs, and environment setup instructions.
- Follow best practices in test design and contribute to continuous improvement of test automation processes.
Required Experience & Abilities:
- 5+ years of experience in .NET development and delivering production-level applications
- Proficiency at the intermediate level in C#, Visual Basic, JavaScript, Bootstrap CSS
- Experience with Oracle DB, SQL, and ASP.NET stack including MVC and Web API
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning capabilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desired Experience & Abilities:
- Exposure to Zephyr Scale, Jira, or other test management tools.
- Experience or interest in testing cyber security applications or secure software.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber (Java) or SpecFlow (C#).
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests integrate with build tools (e.g., Jenkins, Jira).
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Bitbucket.
- Knowledge of performance testing, security testing tools, and modern testing strategies.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and customer-centric project execution
- Demonstrated adaptability and proactive problem-solving mindset
Job Stipulations:
- Must maintain DOD 8570 required certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Minimum Education:
HS diploma with 9 years’ IT experience
Associates with 7 years’ IT experience
Bachelors with 5 years’ IT experience
Job Stipulations:
Must maintain DOD 8570 required certification, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent Must be compliant with DOD vaccination policies
Prolonged Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
