About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background delivering customer-facing digital experiences within Agile delivery squads.

This role is ideal for a Business Analyst who has spent the majority of their career working alongside Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers and Delivery Leads to deliver web and mobile solutions that improve customer experiences.

You will play a key role in translating customer, business and product needs into actionable requirements, user stories and delivery outcomes, helping shape and deliver digital experiences across Medibank's customer channels.

This is a hands-on delivery role embedded within Agile squads and requires proven experience driving business analysis activities from discovery through to implementation and release.

What You'll Be Doing

• Partner with Product, Design and Technology teams to shape and deliver customer-focused digital solutions.
• Facilitate discovery activities, workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to understand business and customer needs.
• Elicit, analyse and document business and system requirements for digital products and experiences.
• Break down initiatives into epics, features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning and ongoing delivery activities within Agile squads.
• Conduct customer journey mapping and touchpoint analysis to identify opportunities for improved customer experiences.
• Collaborate closely with UX, Engineering and Quality Assurance teams throughout delivery.
• Ensure requirements are traceable from discovery through design, build, testing and release.
• Perform impact assessments, dependency analysis and scope change management activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within both delivery teams and the Business Analysis Practice.

What Success Looks Like

You are an experienced digital delivery Business Analyst who:

• Has worked as a dedicated BA within Agile delivery squads.
• Is comfortable operating in fast-paced iterative delivery environments.
• Understands how customer-facing digital products are designed, built and released.
• Can confidently bridge business, customer and technology conversations.
• Uses customer journeys, user stories and backlog management techniques to drive delivery outcomes.
• Builds strong relationships across Product, Technology and Business teams.

You'll bring:

• 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst delivering software and digital solutions.
• Demonstrated experience working within Agile delivery squads focused on customer-facing digital products.
• Strong experience delivering website, mobile app or digital self-service capabilities.
• Proven experience writing epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience facilitating workshops, discovery sessions and requirements elicitation activities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and technology teams.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence in Agile environments.
• Strong analytical, communication and facilitation skills.

Desirable Experience

• Customer digital platforms.
• Digital customer experience (CX) programs.
• Mobile application delivery.
• Website and self-service portal delivery.
• Human-centred design and customer journey mapping.
• Working with Product Managers and UX Designers.
• Healthcare, insurance or regulated industries.

What We're Not Looking For

This role is best suited to Business Analysts with hands-on digital delivery experience. We are specifically seeking candidates who have worked as dedicated Business Analysts within Agile digital product or delivery squads.

Experience solely in the following areas may not be sufficient:

• Enterprise transformation programs.
• Infrastructure or platform delivery.
• Integration-focused technical BA roles.
• Data and reporting-focused BA roles.
• Operational process improvement roles.
• Testing or QA roles where business analysis was only a small component of responsibilities.
