Your Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with deep AWS expertise and strong capabilities in automation. This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and highly automated AWS cloud platforms, supporting on-premises to AWS migrations, and enabling standardised, repeatable infrastructure deployments across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated provisioning and configuration.
- Build and manage automated deployment pipelines using CI/CD best practices.
- Support AWS landing zone implementation and platform standardisation (Control Tower / multi-account models).
- Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams for seamless integration and deployment.
- Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to AWS best practices and governance frameworks.
- Support migration of on-premises workloads to AWS, including planning, execution, and optimisation.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and cost optimisation (FinOps) capabilities.
- Maintain documentation for designs, automation scripts, and operational procedures.

- Deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS):
- EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS
- VPC, IAM, CloudWatch
- Understanding of hybrid and cloud-native architectures
Migration & Modernisation
- AWS Application Migration Service (MGN)
- AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
- Migration strategies: rehost, replatform, refactor
Infrastructure as Code
- Terraform (preferred)
- AWS CloudFormation / AWS CDK
- Modular and reusable IaC design practices
- Configuration management (Ansible)
Automation & Scripting
- Python, Bash, PowerShell
- Automated environment provisioning and lifecycle management
DevOps & CI/CD
- GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline / CodeBuild
- CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment
- GitOps and automation-first delivery practices
Networking
- AWS VPC architecture and design
- Security groups, NACLs, routing
- Hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect)
- Load balancing (ALB/NLB), Route 53
Security & Governance
- AWS IAM, roles, and policies
- Least privilege and identity federation
- AWS Config, Service Control Policies (SCPs)
- AWS Security Hub
- Encryption and key management (AWS KMS)
Monitoring & Logging
- AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray
- Centralised logging and observability frameworks
- Alerting and performance monitoring
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate / Professional)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (preferred)
- Experience delivering AWS landing zones and multi-account environments
- Strong experience with automation-first and IaC-driven environments
- Experience working in Agile / DevOps teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
