Job Title: Senior Data Quality Business Analyst / Consultant

Location: London (hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)

Salary/Rate: £700-800 per day inside IR35

Start Date: October

Job Type: Initial contract until February 2027, with scope to extend

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Senior Data Quality Business Analyst / Consultant to join their global asset manager client on a hybrid basis.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

The role will sit between the business and technology teams, translating business data quality requirements into clear technical requirements and driving them through to delivery.

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand data quality issues, requirements and desired outcomes.
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements, user stories and delivery plans.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of data quality tools, processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with technology and data teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
  • Coordinate delivery activities, track actions, risks, dependencies and milestones.
  • Support testing, implementation and rollout of data quality solutions.
  • Help establish and embed robust data quality processes, controls and governance.
  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, data teams and technical delivery teams.

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Strong data quality business analysis / consultant skills
  • Have worked in a change environment
  • Previous experience working within an Asset Management / Asset Servicer / Investment Management environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing data quality tools, processes and procedures within an asset manager.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, data controls, governance and data management.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and deliverable solutions.
  • Comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting data quality transformation/change programmes.
  • Experience with data quality/observability tools such as Monte Carlo (preferred), Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Ataccama, Great Expectations, Soda, Talend, Dataiku or IBM InfoSphere; Monte Carlo is not essential.
  • Experience working with data catalogues, data lineage and data governance tooling.
  • Experience working across investment, operations, risk or data functions within an asset manager.
