The Position
Provide the site with information and business analysis to support decision processes and follow-up on identified matters. Responsible for implementing internal controls to ensure financial compliance and correct reporting. Continuously improve controlling and business information processes, drive financial planning and optimization, align finance processes and practices to NN best practices and compliance. Drive finance processes to ensure resource allocation aligns with strategic goals for the site.
Relationships
Reports to Senior Manager or Director.
Essential Functions
- Implement and perform financial review, controlling and business analysis for the site
- Ensure that financial accounting and controlling is within local legal and corporate requirements at all times
- Prepare monthly management report (MMR) for the site
- Provide financial information & analysis to support decision making processes
- Ensure high quality, granulated, periodized and risk-based AB/RE, based on a solid, data driven process in close dialogue with management
- Site responsible for capacity cost and investment budget
- Act as SAP super user
- Oversee financial internal controls for the site
- Prepare, implement & perform key cost accounting processes/methods/activities/improvements
- Ensure correct postings of relevant cost transactions as well as responsible for all reporting as part of month-end and year-end closing
- Perform variance analysis
- Develop tools to improve costing transparency and implement FP&A processes for the site
- Serve as the Financial Partner for the business unit to provide business insight & create continuous business value
- Responsible for planning and executing financial processes to include budget processes and other reporting as required from central finance team
- Prepare & deliver timely, well-organized & informative financial data
- Responsible for financial systems, as assigned
- Participate in & support project work related to accounting & finance
- Provide training, support, assistance & back-up to other accounting & finance processes
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
- Other duties, as assigned
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in finance or related field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of seven (7) years of financial/accounting experience required
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience, may consider an Associate’s degree in finance or related field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of nine (9)
- Thorough understanding of Cost Accounting required
- Strong ability to analyse & think strategically required
- Proficiency in preparing charts, graphs & presentations required
- Superior communication skills with colleagues at all levels required
- Outstanding abilities in relationship building & customer service required
- Strong process improvement, problem solving & organizational skills required
- Highly motivated & energetic; willingness to lead projects & take initiative required
- Ability to develop & manage action plans to achieve targets required
- Ability to work weekends and/or holidays, when required
- years of Financial/Accounting experience required
- A Master’s degree in logistics, finance, accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of SAP experience preferred
