A leading UK infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a major scheme in the Midlands. Working on a high-profile infrastructure project, you will play a key role in coordinating engineering activities, managing site teams, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Your new role
- Managing engineering teams and supporting project delivery on site
- Coordinating construction activities with operations, commercial and planning teams
- Reviewing and implementing construction methodologies and temporary works requirements
- Ensuring compliance with quality assurance procedures, ITPs and project specifications
- Managing subcontractors and resolving technical issues as they arise
- Supporting programme delivery and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
- Producing and reviewing RAMS, permits and engineering documentation
- Liaising with the client, stakeholders and wider project team
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience working as a Senior Engineer, Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer on major infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of highways, rail or heavy civil engineering works
- Experience managing site engineering teams and subcontractors
- Knowledge of temporary works, quality management and construction methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- CSCS card essential
- SMSTS preferred
