Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an outstanding dining experience, from taking orders to delivering food and beverages with precision and care.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
• Take accurate food and drink orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
• Provide recommendations on menu items, upselling specials and promotions to enhance the dining experience.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for processing payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism, fostering positive guest relations throughout their visit.
• Assist with hosting duties as needed, managing reservations through OpenTable or similar systems.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred, with knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating a genuine desire to enhance guest experiences.
• Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is a plus, along with an understanding of the food industry dynamics.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for order processing and cash handling tasks.
