Job Title: Server

Summary

Serves meals to patrons in dining establishment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
• Takes customer orders.
• Relays orders to kitchen
• Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
• Serves patrons at table.
• Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
• Totals bill and accepts payment.
• Ladles soup, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as necessary.
• Clears and resets tables at conclusion of each course
• Responsible for cleaning the restaurant throughout the shift and as a part of closing duties
