Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using the POS system.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any issues promptly.
- Buss tables efficiently to maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, following safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain knowledge of daily specials and promotions to inform guests.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
- Proficient with POS systems; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to sanitize work areas and adhere to health regulations.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
