Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing an exceptional dining experience. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a memorable experience while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings
- Take accurate orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and culinary techniques to provide informed recommendations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings preferred
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable systems is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures
- Culinary experience or fine dining experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
