Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that our guests have a memorable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system (Aloha POS or Micros POS preferred).
- Provide detailed menu descriptions and recommend items to enhance the guest experience through upselling techniques.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of service.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines during food handling and preparation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.
- Process payments accurately using cash handling skills and basic math abilities.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a positive guest experience.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required.
