We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a casual dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional guest services and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating a memorable dining experiences for our guests by delivering outstanding customer service and expertly managing their dining needs.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Provide detailed menu information, including descriptions of dishes and recommendations for pairings, while effectively upselling items to enhance the guest experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout their meal.
- Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared accurately and promptly.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and efficiency, striving to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Assist in training new staff members on restaurant procedures, menu knowledge, and customer service standards.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Server in a casual dining or upscale restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction; ability to create positive interactions with patrons.
- Familiarity with restaurant management systems such as Toast is advantageous but can be learned on the job.
- This position requires some food prep. Food handler's license is preferable but not necessary can obtain wile working.
- Bi-lingual French - English. Could be - Creole, or Canadian French. Must be fluent enough in English to serve the front.
