Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fine dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences by delivering high-quality food and beverage service while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems and OpenTable.
- Upsell menu items to maximize guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while monitoring guest needs throughout their meal.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all patrons.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely service.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or feedback with professionalism and resolve issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining settings, is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems, OpenTable, or similar restaurant management software is an advantage.
- A solid understanding of culinary terminology and food safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding hospitality.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
