Responsibilities:
- Guest Service Excellence:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Provide recommendations on menu items, specials, and beverage pairings.
- Order Management:
- Effectively communicate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor and manage table turnover to optimize seating capacity.
- Knowledgeable Engagement:
- Stay informed about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Answer customer questions regarding the menu, specials, and beverage options.
- Upselling and Promotion:
- Upsell additional menu items or suggest promotions to enhance the guest experience.
- Promote featured dishes, drinks, and events to boost sales.
- Table Maintenance:
- Ensure tables are set up appropriately and are clean and presentable.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a smooth dining experience.
- Cash Handling:
- Process customer payments accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash and electronic transactions responsibly.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to maintain a cohesive and positive team environment.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth service operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a server in a high-volume restaurant or gastropub setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends, including craft beers and cocktails.
- Positive attitude and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
