What You’ll Get to Do
The Shipping Lead team member is focused on shipping and receiving product and reports to the Production Manager
This role is perfect for an individual who is self motivated, pays attention to detail, and exhibit excellent attendance. A vital member of the Shipping Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
- Ensure all shipments are confirmed when loaded
- Examine contents and compare with records, or orders, to verify accuracy of outgoing shipment
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, and shipping orders
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and driver routes
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and
- handheld devices (RF)
- Arranging transportation of products
What We Are Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- 2-4 years of previous shipping/receiving work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility, required
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic computer familiarity
- Ability to use and understand computerized tracking systems, delivery receipts, and production labels to effectively plan truck routes
- Ability to work in a team environment and be courteous to others
