The Family Montessori is a learning center for children between the ages of 18 months to 6 years old. We currently have a full-time teacher position available for a professional, energetic and hardworking teacher. We need someone that can be available between the hours of 7:30 am- 5:30 pm (Monday through Friday). We are looking for teachers who are dependable, love working with children, work great in a team setting, and enjoy teaching. Our teachers help with creating lessons plans, teaching, singing, storytelling and supervising children during work time, play time, nap time, snack/lunch time, potty training, art etc.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to greet parents on arrival or departure from school.
- Provide lessons in: Practical Life (Grace and Courtesy), Sensorial, Language, Math and general academics (Training will be provided)
- Maintain clean and organized environment.
- Assist in food preparation.
- Lead circle time activities (lessons, calendar, singing and games).
- Storytelling
- Use imagination and creativity during arts and crafts.
- Ability to build rapport and have clear communication with children’s parents and co-teachers.
Qualifications: Minimum Education Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Certifications: First Aid/ CPR Certified preferred (If you are not CPR certified, compensation for the certification will be provided.)
- Prior Child Care experience a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be at least 18+ years of age.
- Must pass criminal/background screening and pass fingerprinting check.
- Must complete pre-service training prior to start date if employee does not have enough childcare experience.
Montessori Teachers are provided with competitive pay, paid extended education (annual training hours per HHS minimum standards) and full-time employees are given paid holidays.
