Our Company is a small, Prototype Facility. We are not a large warehouse and not a production facility. Persico builds vibration machines and stitching cells. Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping/Receiving, team player. This role requires strong attention to detail, quality computer skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. We expect applicants to have knowledge of international and domestic shipments, as well as knowledge of FedEx, UPS, and local carriers.
Duties
- Prepares customs and shipping documents accurately
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while handling materials and operating equipment.
- Manage shipping and receiving operations, including verifying shipment contents against purchase orders and inspecting for damage or discrepancies.
- Have local, domestic, and international shipping/receiving experience. Experience with Mexico, Canada, Germany, China, and Italy shipments would be very valuable.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed for heavy lifting tasks.
- Completes receiving reports on a timely basis to notify leaders/managers of status. (BOM)
- Strong computer skills, including good experience and use of Excel
- Has knowledge of FedEx, UPS, and local carriers
- Ability to prep and pack machines
- Be able and willing to drive a state truck locally for deliveries and pickups
- Utilize multitasking, prioritizing, and organizing skills to succeed in this role
Experience
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations.
- Knowledge of E-2 Shop and QuickBooks is valuable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Proficient in using warehouse equipment such as forklifts; certification is preferred.
