Shop Foreman – Automotive Repair

At Midas Plainfield, we're looking for a Shop Foreman who can keep the workflow humming, the team motivated, and the repair quality top-notch. If you're an experienced tech with leadership instincts and a sharp eye for detail, this is your shot to step into a lead role without leaving the tools behind.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervise a team of technicians and ensure efficient workflow throughout the day
- Assist with diagnostics and complex repairs as needed
- Monitor quality control and help uphold the shop’s repair standards
- Act as liaison between technicians and store management
- Help onboard, train, and support team members
- Interact with customers when needed to explain work or resolve concerns
- Support inventory oversight, parts flow, and vendor communication
- Maintain shop safety protocols and lead by example
What We’re Looking For
- 3 or more years of professional technician experience
- Strong technical background and diagnostic ability
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- ASE A-Series certifications preferred
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage conflict, and coach techs
- Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
- Comfortable using shop software, DVI tools, and diagnostics equipment
Pay & Schedule
- Hourly or flat rate based on experience and responsibilities
- Weekly performance bonuses
- Full-time: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (5-day work week)
