With our brands touching the lives of almost two million customers every week, you’ll feel the impact of the work you’ll do every day. As a leader in the retail market, we’re optimistic about our future and yours. We’re changing at a rapid rate, giving you challenging work that you’ll be proud of.

Join the team

At Kmart, we're redefining how we understand and prevent loss across one of Australia's largest retail networks. As our Shrinkage Insights Manager, you'll lead the development of a trusted, enterprise-wide view of shrink performance, transforming complex data into meaningful insights that drive better business decisions and measurable results.

This is a unique opportunity to combine advanced analytics, commercial thinking, and people leadership to influence strategic priorities across the Kmart Group. Working closely with Profit Protection, Finance, Merchandise and Store Operations teams, you'll help identify emerging risks, uncover opportunities, and shape the future of shrink prevention through data, predictive insights, automation and AI.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead Kmart Group's shrink analytics and insights capability, providing a clear understanding of shrink performance, drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and embed leading indicators, predictive analytics and detection capabilities that enable earlier identification of emerging risks.
  • Transform complex operational, inventory, transactional and financial data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Profit Protection and key business functions to influence priorities and drive action from insights.
  • Measure the effectiveness and value of shrink initiatives, ensuring decisions are backed by evidence and outcomes.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of analysts while driving automation, continuous improvement and responsible AI adoption.
  • Own reporting standards, data integrity and analytical methodologies to ensure consistent and trusted business insights.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Significant experience in analytics, insights, commercial analysis or a related field, with a track record of influencing business outcomes through data-driven decision making.
  • Strong capability analysing large and complex datasets using SQL, advanced Excel and modern cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake.
  • Experience developing reporting, advanced analytics, predictive insights or leading indicators that have delivered measurable business value.
  • The ability to translate complex analysis into clear, commercially relevant recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a natural curiosity to investigate root causes, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing analysts within a high-performing team environment.
  • Familiarity with retail, supply chain, loss prevention, fraud or other large-scale operational environments will be highly regarded.
  • A passion for leveraging technology, automation and AI to improve the quality, speed and scalability of insights.

Benefits we’ll offer you:

  • Flexible hybrid working options through our Flex Where, Flex When, Flex Well policy.
  • A team member discount card that gives you a discount at Kmart, Target, Officeworks and Bunnings
  • Access to the Brighter Benefits program which entitles you to exclusive discounts and benefits in the areas of entertainment, travel, lifestyle, and health – with over 60 suppliers!

  • A Kudos recognition program, where you are nominated by your peers to spin a wheel, to win a stack of cool prizes
  • Great career opportunities across the broader Wesfarmers Group
