Summary:
Highpoint Signs & Apparel is a growing company in a fast environment that provides promotional products and services to local, regional, and national clients. The Fabricator 2 position has many responsibilities and is considered an integral part of the electrical signage operation. Some of the expectations of this position are to work as a team and at times individually to manufacture different types of signage, support installation technicians, and accomplish tasks as assigned by the shop foreman. As this position works directly with other team members, it is incredibly important that this position is occupied with someone who is driven and motivated to work hard and provide results by expanding their knowledge in their craft while working well with others.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manufactures signs daily using basic hand tools and power tools
- Runs and connects low voltage electrical systems
- Runs primary electrical in signs for install technicians
- Work with a team to build and manufacture basic signage
- Work in a shop that at times is hot and other times is cold
- Go through checklist to ensure that all sign packages are ready for installation
- Read and interpret shop drawings
- Accomplish various tasks when assigned
- Lists signs according to National Electric Code
- Puts together bolt patterns and assists in putting together foundation forms
- Welds aluminum and steel
- Teach skills to journeyman and apprentice personnel
- Fabricates and assembles basic & difficult sign cabinets
- Fabricates and assembles basic & difficult sign frames
- Preps pipes for projects
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, always adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively regarding project progress and any issues that arise
Qualifications:
- Ability to read a measuring tape and use basic hand tools & power tools
- At least 3-5+ years of fabrication (Sign experience is a plus)
- Ability to work with a team
- Sharp attention to detail
- Must have the patience and temperament to deal with others
- Ability to weld
- Knowledge of metal fabrication
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Must have:
· Texas Driver’s License w/ no restrictions

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
