Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Shop Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations at The Sign Gallery. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our sign production processes while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will be able to manage installation crew, manufacture/fabrication team while also has experience interpreting signage drawings and ensure high quality products and performance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shop operations and manage production schedules.
- Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
- Lead and mentor shop staff to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Coordinate with the design team to ensure accurate implementation of specifications.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
- Manage inventory levels of materials and supplies needed for production.
- Supervise and lead sign installation crews on job sites as need.
- serve as point of contact for shop and install team members
- Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and permits for proper installation.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles (including bucket trucks and cranes).
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and make on-site adjustments.
- Capable of performing all roles including: fabrication & welding, crane operation, and installation as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of sign production processes is preferred.
- Experience with metal fabrication and welding
- Experience with Sign installation styles
- Ability to perform at heights including ladders and aerial lifts.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Basic knowledge of electrical components is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week

- Monday to Friday
