CEIS | Clover Leaf Solutions is seeking a Site Safety Manager to lead and support health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs on a dynamic industrial construction project in Boise, ID. The ideal candidate brings a proactive, boots-on-the-ground leadership style, deep knowledge of OSHA and site-specific safety protocols, and the confidence to work directly with field crews, clients, and construction leadership.
Reporting to the Safety Director, this individual will serve as the primary HSE representative on site—coaching, mentoring, auditing, and ensuring regulatory and internal policy compliance. The Site Safety Manager will serve as both a strategic advisor and operational enforcer, helping drive a strong culture of safety while maintaining project productivity and morale.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee site safety performance and ensure strict compliance with federal, state, local, and client-specific regulations.
Serve as the technical safety advisor to construction teams; coach field staff on JSAs, hazard recognition, and corrective actions.
Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
Lead injury and illness case management and facilitate return-to-work planning in collaboration with the Safety Director.
Review and approve safety documentation including lift plans, hydrostatic test plans, confined space entry, and other critical activities.
Engage with subcontractors and general contractors to ensure alignment on EHS expectations and site execution.
Facilitate and track safety training for site crews including OSHA compliance topics and project-specific requirements.
Lead or participate in morning tailgates, toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and client safety walk-throughs.
Maintain site safety documentation, metrics, and reporting tools.
Promote a positive safety culture through behavior-based programs, recognition efforts, and continuous feedback.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience managing safety on commercial or industrial construction sites.
Demonstrated experience with civil construction environments (e.g., grading, trenching, underground utility work, concrete, rigging/lifts).
Strong working knowledge of OSHA, state/local regulations, and incident investigation protocol.
Ability to build trust with field personnel while holding them accountable to high safety standards.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital inspection/reporting platforms.
Valid driver’s license and ability to conduct job walks in varied weather and site conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
CHST, CSP, or other recognized safety certification(s) preferred.
Experience supporting HVAC, mechanical, or heavy MEP scopes on industrial/commercial projects a plus.
Previous experience with injury/illness prevention programs and safety leadership development.
Prior client-facing role on federal or high-profile commercial projects preferred.
