The Small Business Loan Closer is responsible for guiding clients and their respective professional services teams through the fulfillment cycle of the lending process. Responsible for leading the team in reviewing and validating deal structures for all small business lines. Accountable for providing accurate, clear, and concise information, and a superior lending experience for external clients through multi-channel interactions. Primary loan facilitator in an external facing capacity to ensure work-flow deadlines and service level agreements are met.

A day in the life:
- Actively manage a pipeline of active deals in the closing stage including complex structures and multi-facility transactions with minimal oversight.
- Fluently articulate the purpose and requirements of loan closing conditions; explain products and policies in a clear, concise manner to ensure understanding of documents needed for a lending decision.
- Interactively work with clients on procedures to fulfill closing conditions; provide basic technical support and guidance as needed.
- Work closely with client advisors/partners to obtain information required to satisfy closing conditions (e.g. leases, sale agreements, bank statements).
- Effectively communicate to all stakeholders to manage funding timing expectations; maintain high level of customer service by communicating with designated parties in a timely manner ensuring all information is delivered professionally and accurately.
- Review, evaluate, and analyze documents; work independently to research and resolve issues or answer questions that often involve interpretation of policies and procedures; ensure accurate, complete, and timely execution; consistently meet all quality and adherence standards.
- Collaborate with Provide stakeholders on the closing diligence review process to ensure loans are collateralized properly and funded efficiently.
- Coordinate commercial real estate closings with designated legal counsel, diligence providers, and title/escrow offices.
Our newest teammate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- 2-3 years of related experience
- In-depth knowledge of lending guidelines, underwriting and closing procedures; ability to identify actionable items while reviewing detailed and complex documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills
- Prior experience in Closing, Sales, Finance or Commercial Real Estate; experience in Practice Finance or Construction project management preferred
- PC proficient in Windows based software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to analyze policies, procedures and guidelines and make recommendations that maximize productivity while adhering to risk guidelines
- Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration and customer service skills
