Advance Local is looking for a Social Affiliate Brand Builder to build a rich presence across social media platforms for our newly developed commerce brand. This position will develop, launch and test new, socially-native brands that drive affiliate revenue and help enable local newsrooms to replicate this success through the sharing of best practices and ongoing support.
The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000.
What you'll be doing:
Identifiy high-potential product categories by focusing on social media trends and consumer behavior
Develop unique social identities and create brand guidelines to ensure consistent messaging and visual representation
Manage brand presence across social media platforms and optimize brand profiles to build reach, adapting strategies and content based on data analysis and market trends
Develop and oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging and platform-specific content, experimenting with different styles to optimize engagement and revenue
Develop an affiliate network to create content optimized for target audiences
Track and analyze key performance indicators to identify successful content formats and social media tactics to pinpoint areas for improvement and
Experiment with new content formats to optimize performance and maximize revenue
Develop guidelines that outline successful strategies for social-first affiliate marketing
Develop templates, tools, resources and training that streamline the implementation of social affiliate strategies in local newsrooms, working with them to tailor these models to their unique markets and content
Work closely with broader affiliate revenue team to align strategies with overall revenue goals
Coordinate with editorial teams to identify opportunities for integrations that align with content calendar and audience interest while maintaining editorial integrity
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
At least five years of experience working in social media
Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends and best practices
Proven ability to create engaging and effective social media content across various platforms
Strong understanding of affiliate marketing principles, strategies and best practices
Excellent communication, presentation and training skills
Ability to analyze data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions
Exceptional project management, organizational, and time-management skills
Ability to think creatively and solve problems, with a passion for innovation
Knowledge of the digital media landscape and the evolving role of social media in commerce
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
