Position Overview:
We’re seeking a creative and organized Social Media Specialist to build and manage our online presence across multiple key platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and more. This role will create brand awareness and shape how the public connects with our farm events and culinary offerings, both online and off.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute a dynamic social media strategy for both the farm venue (public and private) and restaurant/catering brand.
· Create, curate, and manage daily content (photo, video, written) across platforms (posts: stories, organic and boosted)
· Plan and schedule content to align with promotions, seasonal events, and campaigns
· Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and build community relationships
· Monitor analytics and adjust strategy based on performance metrics
· Coordinate with event planners, music promoter, chefs, and management for behind-the-scenes content and promotions
· Stay current on social media trends, especially in food, hospitality, and tourism
Qualifications:
· 3+ years’ experience in social media marketing (experience in food, hospitality, or tourism a plus)
· The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and turn time-sensitive content around within the same day is key
· Strong writing, photography, and video editing skills
· Familiarity with social media tools (Meta Business Suite, Canva, etc.)
· Excellent communication and project management skills
· Passion for local food, farms, and community experiences
· Weekend availability during peak seasons (spring through fall)
Preferred but Not Required:
· Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva Pro)
· Experience with email marketing.
· Knowledge of Finger Lakes tourism and local events
