Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and experience with solar panel installation. This role involves working on rooftops and other structures to install solar energy systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Solar Installer will play a crucial role in promoting renewable energy solutions and helping customers transition to sustainable power sources.
Responsibilities
- Install solar panels on residential and commercial rooftops, ensuring proper alignment and secure attachment.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of solar systems.
- Perform fixture installation, including mounting brackets and electrical connections.
- Utilize power tools, hand tools, and forklifts safely and effectively during installation processes.
- Conduct low voltage electrical work as needed for system integration.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) throughout all installations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing, roofing, or electrical work is preferred.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to solar installations.
- Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, and forklifts safely.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
