Altorelli Chiropractic & Med Spa is excited to be recruiting full and part-time massage therapists. We specialize in Chiropractic and Wellness medicine and are expanding our services to a medical spa with massage therapy and aesthetic medical services.
We are seeking talented and experienced Massage Therapists who are looking for a long-term role in a rapidly-growing organization with a positive and supportive environment. We are a busy office and will need employees with high energy and an optimistic attitude.
Job Purpose:
- The purpose of this position is to provide massage and body treatments with unparalleled personalized service and hospitality to Altorelli Chiropractic & Med Spa clients while exuding professionalism and exceptional knowledge in the field of the healing arts.
Requirements:
- Current Connecticut State massage therapy license.
- Strong desire to help others through the healing benefits of massage.
- Knowledge of Swedish and Deep Tissue techniques.
- Must carry liability insurance.
- 1 year Massage Therapy experience.
- Strong commitment to excellent customer service and patient care.
- Energetic, enthusiastic and highly motivated.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to work flexible days and hours.
- Maintain professional licenses.
Responsibilities:
- Provide spa services to clients in a timely, courteous and proficient manner.
- Therapist will escort clients to and from treatment rooms and attend to any immediate needs throughout the visit.
- Assist in providing information to any client inquiries as well as coordinating all client requests for services.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness of the Spa.
- Ensure client comfort and safety throughout the treatment.
- Knowledge of draping procedures.
- Ability to notify management of any inappropriate behavior from the client such as sexual harassment and intoxication.
- Ability to focus on client needs.
- Ability to remain quiet during treatment.
- Maintain professional ethics while ensuring personalized service is provided to each client so they feel their needs are met.
- Maintain work area with necessary supplies. Ensure room is immaculate at all times (tables draped, counters and products clean) as well as cleanliness of all other spa areas.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
- Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
- Report dysfunctional equipment to Supervisor.
- Therapists will also assist with maintenance and reorder of product inventory for professional products.
- Assist fellow employees with daily operations to support healthy teamwork and contribute to the overall success of the spa.
- Maintain and further develop a full working knowledge of products, services, and current promotions while actively promoting the spa.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
- Participate in all meetings, scheduled training sessions and company events to support team building.
- Have a working knowledge of our company website.
- Remain in the office until all patients leave.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
- Help prepare and set up for events, and maintain structure at front desk during events.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires walking and standing most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with clients and other team members.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Other:
- Consistent attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to perform specialty modalities a plus.
- Prior experience in aesthetic industry is a plus.
- Current CPR Certification is a plus.
Hours:
- Weekends and nights.
