Summary
Our Production team is seeking a Production Quality Engineer to ensure product quality and reliability throughout the manufacturing process. The role is responsible for monitoring and analyzing quality metrics, driving product and process improvements, and implementing design feedback to enhance manufacturability and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include overseeing incoming and supplier quality, in-process manufacturing quality, product reliability, and post-sales quality support. The Production Quality Engineer also leads root cause investigations, implements corrective and preventive actions, establishes standardized quality practices, and collaborates closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and global operations teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards across all manufacturing sites.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities
- Review and adhere to all company policies as outlined in the latest revision of the Employee Handbook and comply with all terms and conditions of applicable employment agreements.
- Manage comprehensive quality issue analysis and generate thorough Failure Analysis (FA) reports from a quality perspective.
- Demonstrate strong quality assurance capabilities, particularly in evaluating material data sheets and adherence to specified criteria.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to achieve and sustain superior product quality.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless information exchange and problem-solving.
- Oversee the creation, collection, analysis, and secure traceability of quality data, maintaining comprehensive records for internal and external verification.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Conduct field site product quality control and collaborate with worldwide quality teams to integrate feedback and implement quality enhancements.
- Monitor the implementation of solutions and preventative mechanisms to address and mitigate potential quality issues.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistent quality processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), or a related field. Candidates with relevant certifications and extensive working experience in the Electrical & Electronic Industry will also be considered.
- Ideally candidate have over 5 years of progressive quality control experience, specifically within the Electrical & Electronic Industry and supplier quality management.
- Demonstrated expertise in Quality Control (QC) methodologies and extensive experience with quality assurance practices and issue analysis.
- Possess strong independence, diligence, initiative, and a positive attitude.
- Exhibit excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. As the role engages with stakeholders in Taiwan, familiarity with Taiwanese business culture is valuable. Proficiency in multiple languages will be considered an advantage.
